ICS’s documentary awarded at the International Nature and Environmental Protection Film Festival
ICS’s documentary “The Other Side of Tourism” has been awarded at the International Nature and Environmental Protection Film Festival, one of the largest thematic events related to environmental protection and nature films in Hungary and the region, which was held for the ninth time in Budapest from 19 to 21 May.
The documentary was awarded in the Nature Film section. The film, which was produced for Doma, explains that as tourism develops into one of the largest industries, its impact on the environment increases, and there is the risk that sea and lake ecosystems will turn from places for relaxation into the main source of major environmental problems.
The mission of the International Nature and Environmental Protection Film Festival is to raise public awareness about the protection and preservation of biological diversity, natural resources, values and beauties of our planet, with a special emphasis on Europe and the Carpathian Basin, through the screening of films on topics from these areas. As of 2015, the festival has almost 40,000 visitors every year.
