Marking the Commencement of the Advocacy and Lobbying Campaign “Clear it up”

The Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) would like to invite you to join us in the initiation of the advocacy and lobbying campaign “Clear it up”. The presentation of the campaign will take place on Thursday (December 17th), at 11:30, via Zoom (https://zoom.us/j/95539250268).

The Advocacy and Lobbying Alliance will be promoted at the press conference, comprising civil society organizations, faculties and media outlets, as the campaign will be implemented with their support and joint activities. Two policy papers, titled “How to Use and Protect Water” and “Effective Supervision as a Tool against the Excessive Use of Natural Resources” will also be presented. The papers contain data and insight into the current issues in water management and inspection supervision of natural resources and they offer concrete solutions.

British Ambassador HE Rachel Galloway, the Director of ICS Zaneta Trajkoska, PhD and some of the authors of the policy papers – Prof. d-r Biljana Pulevska Janushevska and Kristina Najdovska Ilievski, MSc. will speak at the press conference.

The advocacy and lobbying campaign “Clear it up”, which will last until the end of next year, will focus on two particular issues: (1) water resource management (how to use and protect water) and (2) inspection supervision to combat overexploitation of natural resources (mineral raw materials, forests, soil and water). “Clear it up” aims to raise public awareness of these issues and increase the impact in the process of adopting or amending policies.

The “Clear it up” campaign will be implemented as part of the “Connecting the Dots: Improved Policies through Civic Participation” Project, funded by the British Embassy in Skopje.
