Assist. Prof. Sally Broughton Micova
SALLY BROUGHTON MICOVA has a PhD from the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science on “Small and Resistant: Europeanization of Media Management in Slovenia and Macedonia”. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the School of International Service at the American University of Washington.
She currently works in the Media and Communications Department at the London School of Economics and Political Science and is the Deputy Director of the Media Policy Project. Previously, she was Head of Media Development and spokeswoman for the OSCE Mission to Skopje, Head of Media at the IOM Building Confidence Initiative in Macedonia, and Deputy Director of the Joint Search Project for Conflict Reduction and building trust with the media and education system. She also works as a consultant on media and communication policy topics and communication strategies. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate studies in media management and communications at the London School of Modern and Contemporary Media and Communication Concepts and Theories. She is the author of five publications and co-author of six books, as well as several public policy documents and expert summaries. She has been regularly invited to speak at international expert conferences.
