About ICS

The Institute of Communication Studies is a leading research organization in the field of journalism and media studies, public relations and corporate communications. Our mission is to contribute towards strengthening of Macedonian democracy by working with media, civil society and public institutions, educating a critical public that will ask for greater transparency and accountability through engagement in the policy creation process.


Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Kovachevski

Dimitar Kovacevski is a doctor of economic sciences. He specialized in digital marketing at Harvard Business School and after successfully completing the European Entrepreneurship Collective at the Technical University of Munich, he became an EFER EEC alumni. Its main interests are marketing management, integrated marketing communications, business development and strategic brand management.

During his 20-year professional career, he worked at Makedonski Telekom, was a member of the Deutsche Telekom Marketing Group and held various senior management positions: Director of the Sales Management Center, Director of Marketing Communications and Public Relations, Director of Communications and Sales Director. From 2008 to 2016, he was a member of Deutsche Telekom’s International Communications Committee and the International Brands Committee. In 2017, he was appointed CEO of one.VIP, a member of the Telekom Austria Group. In 2018, he co-founded and is a member of the board of directors of the first company for production of photovoltaic solar modules in Macedonia. He is a member of the board of the Institute for Research and Development PROTHINK, Skopje.

He is an associate professor at the Faculty of Business Economics and Management at the American College University in Skopje and head of the marketing department. He teaches Introduction to Marketing, Marketing Management, Sales Management and Strategic Management at the postgraduate studies at the American College University in Skopje.
