About ICS

The Institute of Communication Studies is a leading research organization in the field of journalism and media studies, public relations and corporate communications. Our mission is to contribute towards strengthening of Macedonian democracy by working with media, civil society and public institutions, educating a critical public that will ask for greater transparency and accountability through engagement in the policy creation process.

ResPublica

ResPublica is an academic blog of ICS that aims to support the voice of the academic and professional community in safeguarding the public interest. At Res Publica we publish the views and opinions of professors, analysts, researchers, journalists, civic activists, public servants and students, while paying special attention to presenting the information in a factually accurate, objective and neutral way. In addition to blogs, vlogs, video podcasts and research are also produced and published.

In this way, we enable the public to form evidence-supported views and make more informed decisions. The activities are funded by the British Embassy Skopje as part of the project “Promoting Good Governance through Civic Engagement for Improved Transparency and Accountability of Institutions in Macedonia”.
