Project duration: 01.03.2018 – 01.03.2020

Donor: British Embassy in Skopje

Project components are:

1. Digital Citizen Initiative: Res Publica

ICS will create a network of opinion makers and influencers across Macedonia and the Western Balkans who will discuss public policy issues and influence media agenda, empowering citizens with arguments and information to pursue accountability and transparency from public institutions.

2. Civil Society Hub

Through this component, ICS will build a coalition between citizens and CSOs that will seek from institutions to be accountable, responsive and ready to pursue policy reforms. Through Samo Prasaj and #Doma, ICS will influence the public sphere using various communication tools. The Sakam Da Kazam (SDK) Platform will give citizens a deeper insight into the accountability of institutions.

3. Communication for Change (Developing Public Interest Campaigns)

Public interest campaigns will be developed in collaboration with CSOs, Faculties, Students, Citizen initiatives and High-Schools to increase the pressure on authorities to solve environmental problems more effectively and to encourage and direct civic activism towards state and local institutions. ICS will inform citizens about their right to ask for their active involvement in policy creation and will enable CSOs to communicate and provoke authorities to pursue policy changes.
