Zaneta Trajkoska
Zaneta Trajkoska is an Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Political Science and nearly 30 years of experience in communications, media education, and policy development in Republic of Macedonia. She currently serves as Director of the Institute of Communication Studies (ICS), with extensive expertise in media literacy, journalism, strategic communication, and public interest campaigns.
She previously held leadership roles at the School of Journalism and Public Relations (SJPR) and the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM), and has worked with both domestic and international organizations on projects related to media education, communication strategies, and EU integration.
Trajkoska led the ICS team that supported the UK Government Communication Service in developing Macedonia’s national communication strategy to improve government transparency. She has also consulted on numerous USAID and EU projects and advised the Secretariat for European Affairs on ministry-level communication for EU accession.
From 2006 to 2008, she was a member of the national Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information. She is the author, co-author, and editor of several publications on political communication, propaganda, disinformation, and media literacy.
Research interests: political communication, propaganda, media manipulation, journalism, and media development.
