Dr. Sally Broughton Micova has a PhD from the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science on the subject "Small and Resistant: Europeanisation of Media Management in Slovenia and Macedonia". She obtained her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the School of International Service at the American University in Washington DC.
She is currently working at the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science and is the Deputy Director of the Media Policy Project. Previously, she was Head of Media Development and spokesperson for the OSCE Mission to Skopje, Head of Media at the Confidence Building Initiative in Macedonia, led by IOM, and Deputy Director of the Search for Common Ground Project for conflict reduction and building trust with the media and in the education system. She also works as a consultant on topics on media and communication policies and communication strategies.
At the London school she teaches courses in undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of media and communications management and concepts and theories in contemporary media and communications.
She is the author of five publications and a co-author of six books, as well as several public policy papers and expert summaries. She is regularly invited as a speaker at international expert conferences.
